Renee & Dan's Wedding | Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel, RI
Renee and Dan got married on one of the hottest days of the year this past June. But looking at the photos you can hardly tell that it was a 95 degree day! The whole bridal party and family were such troopers. After formal portraits we all retreated inside the cool, air-conditioned hotel. Renee and Dan's ceremony was short and sweet and even included a few laughs.
One of my favorite things to do during the reception is steal away the couple towards the end of dinner. It's usually a pretty quiet time during the reception when most of the guests are chatting and enjoying dinner. Taking a few couple portraits during sunset gives the couple an opportunity to not only have a few more pictures of just the two of them, but lets them escape the party for a few brief moments and just take it all in. Renee and Dan's sunset portraits were some of my favorites I have ever taken. The Renaissance Downtown is right next to the Rhode Island statehouse, which is gorgeous Neoclassical building that makes you feel like you're in Europe, not an hour outside Boston. It is an absolutely epic place to take couples and family portraits!
